# Privacy

> What this site collects about visitors (very little), who processes it, and how to get in touch about it.

This is a personal portfolio site run by DaQuan Louden. It has no accounts, no forms, no comments and no advertising. This page explains the small amount of data that is handled when you visit, in plain language.

## Analytics

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It records the page you viewed, the page that referred you, your country, and the kind of device, browser and operating system you used. It does not use cookies and does not store your IP address. Visitors are told apart by a hash that is derived from the request and discarded at the end of the day, so you cannot be recognised across days or across other sites. I use these counts to see which pages people read; nothing more.

## Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel in the United States. Like any web host, Vercel receives the technical details of each request (your IP address, user agent and the URL) in order to serve the page and keep the service running, and keeps standard server logs for a limited time under its own [privacy policy](https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy). I do not have a separate copy of those logs.

## Cookies and local storage

The site sets no cookies. If you pick a light or dark theme in the footer, that single preference is saved in your browser's local storage so the page can honour it next time. It stays on your device, is never sent anywhere, and is cleared if you clear your browser data.

## Fonts, video and links

The typeface is bundled with the site at build time, so no font requests go to a third party when you load a page. The product film on the home page is hosted here too, not embedded from a video platform.

The site links out to GitHub, LinkedIn, guppyfitness.com and bloominapp.com. Each of those has its own privacy policy, and this one stops at the link.
